I have a secret to tell you…
I also procrastinate.
Some of you might know that I have an Online Workshop coming up. And, for the life of me, I couldn’t bring myself to sit down and prepare.
I came up with the 3 points. Actually, they came to me intuitively in my journal about a month ago.
I knew what I wanted to talk about:
Intention nourishes intuition
Structure saves us; it doesn’t starve us
And therapeutic journaling makes space for change to sprout
But day after day would pass (O.K., I also have a valid excuse: Sukkos and family guests). But something was stopping me from fleshing out the points.
Myself.
I was stopping me.
…searching for the perfect nekudah for the talk.
My brain was stopping me.
…the magnitude of the project: prep it, design it, share it, follow up.
I am allergic to pressure.
Fear was stopping me.
What if people don’t sign up? What if only a few people show up for the webinar?
Then something magical happened:
Ayeka.
I heard the call that teshuva calling. The wake-up call, through a therapeutic journaling technique called Dialogue.
“Chana, peel back all the layers of self that are weighing you down. You are focusing on you. Focus on them and remember why you do what you do.”
(P.S. To see the answer to that question, why I do SoulFood, check out that blog post here: https://soul-care.co.il/25-reasons-i-do-soulfood/
There will always be something stopping us.
There will always be something weighing us down.
There will always be something pushing back against us from living as we know we can.
Ayeka.
Where are you?
Where are you in relation to the way you know you want to live? To show up? To eat?
Where have the stories, excuses, and shenanigans gotten in the way of the truth?
And what would happen if you stopped listening to all that noise long enough to hear the calling?
Maybe it’s time to make space for something different-something that helps you identify and overcome the barriers standing in the way of your truest self, especially around food.
SoulFood can transform your relationship with food and self. If you are wondering whether this approach is right for you, I invite you to join me for a transformative experience.
Tonight at 8 PM Israel time, join me for UNINTUITIVE EATING.
Bring a pen and paper!
