I’ve been blessed to hear the teachings of Elul since 2001. That’s when I stepped into the Chabad House for the first time. As a fresh convert, I immediately felt the Elul air. As the Rebbe describes, when Elul enters, with it comes the spiritual formula for inner transformation.

Those were the days. To be so lit up and in love with G-d that nothing else mattered. Not even my body.

Elul isn’t about getting this thing right. It takes a lot of work to turn things around. It’s about staying in the dialogue. Staying aware, being honest about the thing, staying engaged in the process of making it better.

What is the thing that has become background noise in your life?

Where are you still fighting with it?

And what would it look like to come into alignment with it this Elul?
